URG Post-Event Review

After 2 full days of training, education and networking the URG Conference has come to a close. Attendance was through the roof with URG unofficially estimating that over 500 people attended.
The day featured events on growing your parts business, salvage purchasing and environmental compliance.
The industry seems poised for growth as the conference generated a ton of buzz and excitement.
Stay tuned as we’ll soon be releasing a video that included interviews with suppliers and vendors.
URG Day Two Mid-Day Update

There’s been a ton of great sessions today as recyclers, vendors and others gather in Denver for the 2014 URG Conference. The morning kicked-off with G.B. Outlaw giving an enthusiastic presentation on leadership and leading change; creating a buzz among the hundreds in the ballroom.
Other early-afternoon sessions included presentations on sales training, Pinnacle best practices, how to create a culture of winning and how to provide better customer service.

Day One of URG Sessions in the Books

The second half of today’s event started off with an important discussion around the future of e-procurement as it relates to insurance carriers, collision repairers and parts suppliers. CCC’s Jim Dickens was joined by Rick Tuuri (AudaExplore), Sunil Nayak (Mitchell) and Rob Cooper (PartsTrader). The panel was moderated by Don Porter, Executive Director of URG.

Among the topics, parts utilization analytics, system integration and electronic ordering processes took center stage. According to Jim Dickens, “certain shops have seen a 40% reduction in errors when choosing to order parts electronically in CCC ONE instead of entering information manually.”

URG Mid-Day Recap

It’s been an eventful day in Denver as the show’s sessions kicked-off. Jim Dickens, CCC’s EVP of the Parts Services Group, led off with the keynote and discussed how economic and demographic trends are affecting the auto claims industry.
Other sessions this morning included topics such as parts data; parts procurement; and improving sales to collision repairers.
