Repair Methods

Are you tired of hearing about repair procedures? We all get it: Repair procedures are wise to follow. They help ensure safer repairs for both the technician and the car owner. But while they can sometimes save them, other times—they eat up time.  In our business, “Time is money,” is a literal statement.

So what’s a shop to do? Find the repair procedure solution that works seamlessly with your current processes, so that it takes as little time as possible. And that’s why we feel great about providing you with the fastest and most seamless repair procedure solution available, CCC ONE Repair Methods.

We’re excited to release version 2.0, with upgrades and added features that make it even easier and faster to navigate.

What’s new?

The Repair Methods form has been updated, and it now includes three tabs:

  • Vehicle – This tab includes repair methods for the selected vehicle.
  • Estimate – This tab displays category links to repair methods for each line item on the estimate. Now, users can quickly view all repair methods that are available and applicable to the estimate lines.
  • Bookmarks – This tab displays any repair methods bookmarks saved to the workfile. Now, other staff reviewing the estimate can quickly see repair methods that were deemed critical when the estimate was being created.

In addition to the form updates, changes and additions to the navigation have been made to make Repair Methods even more accessible:

  • Navigation within the Repair Methods screen has been updated to provide easier access to all repair methods available on each vehicle.
  • The Repair Methods option has also been added to the workfile view menu, providing another launch point for the Repair Methods form.
  • Repair Methods are now also available on workfiles with a valid VIN that were created from imported EMS estimate files. This means that CCC ONE Repair Workflow users can now easily access repair methods on any vehicle in their shop, regardless of which estimating system they used to evaluate the damage.
  • We have added sub-group bullets (with tooltips) to the component level view of the MOTOR tab within the workfile Estimate tab > Lines tab.  Click on a sub-group bullet to jump to and expand the corresponding group within the MOTOR tab. This eliminates scrolling and allows quick navigation while writing an estimate.
  • Now, Repair Methods includes part level mapping. The procedures are mapped to each part to improve usability and speed. Repair Methods has been the only solution to provide context-sensitive information down to the group and subgroup level, but we have gone a step further mapping the data to the part level to pull the procedure for the exact part that is highlighted eliminating one extra click and providing quick relevant data to estimators and technicians.
