Going Paperless

CCC Corporate / Collision Repair Newsletter /

The vision create a fully “paperless” business world is not new. In 1975, BusinessWeek magazine predicted “a collection of … office terminals linked to each other and to electronic filing cabinets” and that offices would be fully paperless by 1990.

Decades later, that reality has yet to be realized in many offices and shops. CNN’s report on a national survey indicates that businesses are still holding on to more than 60% of important documents in printed archives. Collision repair shops in particular have struggled to go paperless, partly because of the need to sign and scan documents.

CCC ONE Touch now offers a new feature to help shops go paperless called Signature. Using the Touch tablet application, you can capture the customer’s signature and automatically attach digitally signed documents to the workfile. Signature makes it faster and easier than ever to capture new business and improves the customer experience.

This feature is free and available now to shops that use CCC ONE Repair Workflow and Touch. To activate the feature, a repair facility simply uploads its documents and then uses a tablet’s touch-screen capability to have the customer digitally sign such documents.
